At our clinic we offer you two types of whitening: Professional Office Whitening and Home Whitening. Both whitening treatments will always require an evaluation and preliminary planning from one of our dentists.

Professional Office Whitening it is a highly effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It takes place under carefully monitored conditions which allow for the safe, controlled, pain-free use of a relatively high concentration of bleaching gel which is then activated with an intense light that is focused on the teeth. Results are visible immediately.

Home Whitening is a great option when you just prefer to whiten your teeth at home. All that is required, is an appointment with the dentist so impressions of your teeth can be taken to create two flexible plastic trays, which are used to apply the bleaching gel on your teeth. The custom-made trays are produced at the laboratory and fit your mouth accurately, retain the gel more effectively and reduce the diluting effect of saliva.Home whitening requires close monitoring by the dentist in order to examine the results and notice any problems that arise in the course of the treatment.

When appropriate a combination of Professional Office Whitening and Home Whitening may be suggested for better results.

Tooth whitening processes may cause sensitivity to teeth. This sensitivity might be caused by air, very hot and cold food and beverages. This situation is a normal and expected side effect. Usually, sensitivity is expected to disappear in 24-48 hours.

The result of this treatment is durable, however, it may prove to be reinforced with more subsequent sessions.
